What's Cooking at Brooks Corner"

What’s Cooking at Brooks Corner lately? Well let’s start by saying there is a lot going on in this little neck of the woods. We hear that the Irish road bowling that takes place every other Saturday night in the middle of the streets is an absolute Blast!!! Anyone is welcome to come join. Next the British Car show was a huge success. The weather was perfect and lots of cars showed up and spectators alike. Tiffany said she had 5 campers for that weekend, Gary and her stayed really busy both Friday and Saturday.

So, this time we want to share with you about Scott Phillips with Backwoods Adventures, he is the owner and has a unique business where he takes people on trips hiking mainly in the Big South Fork. Recently he sent this to us to share.

“ We recently enjoyed an adventure filled backpacking trip into an area rich in history and natural beauty known as” No Business”, nestled deep inside the Big South Fork NRRA. The cooler nights made our campfire very inviting as we were serenaded by the barred owls and katydids. We discussed the history of the people who once called this place home. "

Wow this sounds like so much fun if you love the outdoors!! Scott can be reached at 931.397.3490 for more info about what he does.

A great event is coming up on Saturday Sept. 14th is Dusty Boot Concert put on by the Morgan County Tourism Alliance. This will be lots of country fun and they sure have put a lot of effort into this event. Go to MCTAMOCO.com for information. Type on Special Events.
